Redknapp is an obvious choice but he won’t love Spurs halfway through a possible title challenging season. Mourinho is a no no, he can’t do anything without being able to pay millions for foreigners can he? Shearer may be a surprisingly good choice for me. But if you want a British theme then for me Mark Hughes would be great

I would totally agree with the last comment _ Franz Beckenbauer has won it all and has everything to go for. His analytical skills and understanding of the game is second to none. Lets be honest there is not such a thing as an English game – it is football and its international. Ottmar Hitzfeld would be my second choice but he is tight down to a contract in Switzerland. So that gives us a 3 option – interim care taker Harry Redknapp until after the EURO whilst continuing at Spurs and Ottmar to take over after the EURO. Prefer option 1 though

Pearce – Struggled at man city proven he cant do a job

redknapp – great manager.. but at clubs not national level.. hes a wealer and dealer he signs the right players for his club, at england hes just gonna pick the same players as everyone else.

hodgson – past it

beckham – absaloutly ridiculous suggestion. never managed a club and you want to throw him into the england frame.. one day maybe. but not now.

shearer – earning too much off the BBC

Martin O’Neill has got to be the man for the job.. great motavator he prooved that at villa and leicester, they have both never been the same without him.

Give the England Manager job to Mark Hughes, a man who understands English football from the roots and can speak the vernacular.

How on earth could Fabio Capello ever bond with or instruct the England team with such atrociously poor English.

Not learning the English language to at least a basic level, while taking millions of pounds per year smacks of utter contempt.

Capello’s been a complete disaster, setting back English football for years. Who in their right mind would bring on Heskey when you needed 3 goals and had Crouch on the bench?

No discernible tactics. no finesse, no style. I’d ask for the money back.

I would like to think that Don Fabio was simply let down by his English players who, to use a sex analogy, failed to get it up.

That being said his squad selection ahead of the tournament and his substitutions during it betray more than a hint of what the hell are you playing at Fabio?

To the FA, rather than spending millions on severing a contract with the current England Manager you only just gave a contract too, put some money into the development of youth football, keep Capello and the current England squad in place to run out for the next four years, and implement a thought out plan in which you prepare a good managerial team and young England squad for World Cup 2018 when you might just be the hosts.
